Mens board shorts are really popular, and even better, are priced-right, usually ranging from about $15 to $25 a pair from the online retailers we found. But beware, because if you don’t shop smart, you’ll pay over $50 a pair for some of the good name-brands.

One annoying thing about a lot of mens board shorts is that they don’t come with any pockets. You can now get large pocket-adorned shorts from DC (see pic furthest on the left above). These are quick drying nylon oxford with a fitted low rise and tie waist, and a hook and loop fly. You’ll look great while surfing or wakeboarding, but do not forget to take your stuff out of the cool big pockets when you head out into the water!

You can look rad in your Volcom shorts. These puppies have the super nice polyester suede and a twenty two inch outseam. Nice and long like you want ‘em. These do not have a gusseted crotch and feature a zippered fly. They’re short laced so many wearers of these fine shorts love that. Now go get a pair and get out having fun in the water!

The third pair is from Speedo and they make a pretty dang nice set of shorts. You can get them from amazon.com for twenty five bucks as of the writing of this article.  They’re 100 percent brushed polyester microfiber. So they’ll dry very quickly and also provide you with an SPF of over 50! These 22 inch outseam mens board shorts will make you look great on the beach. Speedo is premium quality so it’s worth the money.

The last pair have a great casual look and are triple stitched at the various stress points for a long lasting pair of shorts. Men love this type of rugged clothing because quality just feel good to wear, and performs even better. There is a mall velcro pocket that could hold something like a key or other similar small item. If you’re looking to lug a bunch of stuff around in your pockets, this isn’t the pair for you. However, if you want a great look and quality, these are incredible. Pick them up from about 19 bucks to 25 bucks.
